Thanksgiving is late this year (the 27th). So there may not be many decorations up during your stay. There might be some up towards the end of your trip.
I am not able to find it right now but I do recal seeing a schedule of holiday decorations somewhere.
However - I do know that last year decorations at the resorts were up mid November - several November brides and grooms had pictures with the decorations in the resort lobby - BWI and GF.
We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for Thanksgiving one year, and got up the morning after to the smell of fresh gingerbread.........a wonderful Gingerbread village with a train running round it was set up in the Foyer with lovely decorations - it was a great surprise....... that set us up to buy a home there during that visit.another story....but the rule seemed to bethe day after thanksgiving was 'D' Day.
Don't forget a trip to Celebration for snow on Main Street, and Mickeys very merry Xmas Party may be on, and a drive around local estates - some go to endless trouble with decor. Amazing. Enjoy
Bookmark this web site.... www.wdwinfo.com. If it wasn"t for this site I would have never known that the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas tickets went on sale 4/30/03... They have a list of all of the areas and when the decorations will be going up for 2003. I"m going 12/5. Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy for all going down...
We always try to fly down on Thanksgiving Day or the day after, and that is the weekend the holiday decorations go up. I was told by Disney that the World is most crowded from the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving until the Sunday after.
