When Does the 60-Day Dining Window Actually Start?

Anyone else get caught up in a mismatch between what Disneyland sends in their email and what is actually the case with respect to when you can begin making dining reservations?

We check-in to the Disneyland Hotel Villas on August 19. In our welcome email from Disneyland, it says we can begin making dining reservations on June 20 (today).

However, when I try to book anything, I am only allowed to book up until August 18 (the day before we arrive). So either Disneyland's email is wrong, or their reservation system has a glitch.

Is this normal? We are WDW regulars, so don't do DLR as often (so not quite as familiar as to what is actually normal, despite what their email said -- which is clearly wrong.

Thank you for any expertise on how we can book. It looks like we make have to book day by day (as opposed to being able to book for the week at WDW).

It is 60 days before the day you want to dine. Yes, you have to book day by day. Your first day will be bookable in about 25 minutes. Disney’s info isn’t always correct.

For today June 20th the reservation will be for Monday 8/19.

For Friday June 21th the reservation will be for Tuesday 8/20.
