When does Thanksgiving crowds end?

Well we were watching old videos yesterday and found our video from this last Feb and DH could not believe that we just went. I had to walk him to the calendar and flip back to Feb and show him the dates marked off!! SO he's really into planning our next trip. We really like the cool weather and off season but can't go this jan/feb..new baby (which I think would be easier) and wanting more time to save. Plus we love going at Christmas but his boss says no more December trips...he manages the firm and it's a busy month and they NEED him..whatever.

So Since Thanksgiving is a little early in 2006 I was thinking about going right after Thanksgiving. So back to the question..when do people start leaving that were there for Thanksgiving?

Oh, I do hope it will be that way this year.

We arrive on the Sunday after Thanksgiving but we are just going to check into our resort & settle in, then go to DTD. First park day is Monday, so keeping fingers crossed for the Thanksgiving crowd to have diminished a lot by then.

Not this past year. It wasn't until Wednesday after TG weekend that the crowd levels dropped.

We went down this past year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the crowds were just like I like them. Sparse! I would compare it to our usual week in mid September. The only time we ever saw a crowd was at Mickey's Christmas Party. Many more people there that night then there was during the day. IMHO, it's a great time to go. Light crowds, cool weather, Christmas decorations.

We arrived on Thanksgiving Day this past year. It was horrendous in the parks until Sunday night. It was marginally better each day. We left on Wednesday and I remember telling my dh that I wish we were just arriving since the crowds were so much better by that morning!! I'm arriving on Nov 30 this year and can't wait!! Great weather and the crowds should be low until the weekend at least.
