When does summer vacation start for your kids this year?

We just booked June 6-12. I teach high school in TX and we end on the 4th, but just wondering when other places get out so I can try to have an idea of what crowds might be like during that week.

Since it was a range of dates for a pin I used, I am guessing it's probably a little ahead of many places letting out...

I'm in North Carolina and we're out on June 10. All of NC, except the mountain counties, has to be in school until at least June 10 and can't start back until August 25.

We are in GA, The last day of school is May 21st and we go back around the beginning of August.

For New York City schools the last day is on June 28th. However, school for us starts in September, this year it was Sept. 9th (I think).

Good question, I was wondering this myself...We live just west of Pittsburgh, PA and all of our neighboring schools get out June 10th or 11th.

Thanks for the replies so far. Looks like we'll be ahead of some, but not all. I hope it won't be too crowded...I remember we used a pin code for the last week of May 3 years ago and it was quite pleasant crowd wise. Hoping for the same!

My kids last day will be June 25th. Most schools here in Northern NJ get out around that same time, give or take a few days.

Their first day this year was September 2nd.

We've gone that past two years in early to mid June. I think you're thinking is right, you'll be a bit ahead of the summer crowds.

Yep, NC here, our last day is June 10.

I'm in MA, and we are supposed to be June 25th (assuming we use our 5 alloted snow days.)

We are in CT. School started for my kids on 8/31 and is scheduled to end on 6/16. This includes 5 snow days. We are arriving on 6/19. Looks like we might be just ahead of some.

We are in Colorado. All the school districts here are a little different, but most usually get out right around the end of May. My school district that I teach in gets out on May 27. But we usually start around August 2, so our schedule is a little weird for most.

We were at WDW in early June 2008 and the crowds were not bad at all. I read from others that it got a lot worse about a week after we left though. So you may miss at least some of the crowds. We are going back around that same time next summer, and hoping for the same luck!

North Dakota schools let out early as well, I believe we will be out around May 24th, all depending on snow days, too, of course...
