When does Pop Century open?

Does anyone have any info on this resort? What part will be open when it does open? Is this along the lines of the all stars?

It is a value resort like the All Stars. It's officially been put on hold indefintely but there is a rumor going around that it may open late this year, I think.

We've heard (from WDW) that Pop Century is due to open in Spring this year (2002)!

Bertie, that was the original(well, second original) opening date, but it has been postponed again. We were booked there for July 2002, and they called us to make other arrangements since it wont be opened by then.

At this time, Disney's Pop Century Resort is not scheduled to open until 2003.
Dates still undetermined.

I recently read somewhere (perhaps in the flyer that came with the vacation video) that they were planning to open Dec. 2002 or Jan. 2003.
