When does Kona open for breakfast?

What time does Kona Cafe open for breakfast at the Poly? If the MK opens at 9AM could we have breakfast there in time to make it for rope drop if we go early? We are willing to go at 7AM if we have to. Just don't want to feel too rushed either, but I MUST try tonga toast, and think this would be a good plan on a day we go to MK. Thanks!

I think they're open at 7, but maybe not earlier than that. Captain Cook's downstairs also has Tonga Toast. It's cheaper, but you don't have the strawberry compote with it :'(

I had this same question when I called to make my reservation a few weeks ago. I was told that they open for breakfast at 7:30 and that the earliest reservation you can get is 7:35 (so that's what I booked, hoping to make 9:00 rope drop at EPCOT).

Thanks! After I posted this, I checked out Captain Cook's and they open at 6:30 so we could go there for 7 and get out in plenty of time for rope drop. How crowded is it at that time at Captain Cook's? Want to make sure to get a table and not have to wait in line too long for food.

Not having the strawberry compote doesn't bother me. I probably wouldn't even have it. But Tonga Toast is half the price at Captain Cook's so that is definitely more appealing since we will be paying OOP for the breakfast.

At 7am it probably won't be crowded if it's not an EMH day. But with a 7:35 reservation at Kona, you would easily make a 9am rope drop. It's very fast getting to the MK from Kona.
