When does Halloween Horror Nites begin?

Does it start in September of October?
I am asking because we are doing Disney/Universal in Oct 2011 and if
Universal will be closed at nite due to HHH, I may want to rethink my dates

My boys are still too young or HHH, I know because my hubby and I did it before they kids came along and it was intense.

Also, is HHH still based in one park? What I mean is, if it's based in IOA
next year, will Universal Studios still be opened to familes at night?

HHN usually starts the last Friday in September...this year it's 9/24.

HHN has been staged only at the Studios for the past several years and I don't expect that to change in the future. I think it's possible IOA will stay open longer than 8pm but that's pure speculation.

Universal doesn't have late hours that month anyway. It's only a difference of closing an hour earlier than it normally would.

Also remember HHN is not every night,it's usually Thursdays through Sundays with some Wednesdays the last couple weeks of October.For a couple of years they had HHN in both parks and in my opinion I prefer it just being in one which is what they've done lately with it being held at USF.What they'll do is close USF at 5pm and set it up to open again for HHN.IOA will stay open probably until 7pm or so.
