We were thinking of spending a few days on site but I'm not clear can you arrive before check-in and get FOTL? Can you go to the park the day of check-out and get FOTL? How does it work specifically?

You can get your key(FOTL pass) when you arrive @ your hotel, after check-in,even if your room isn't ready. If your room is ready, you can still go to the parks and get your luggage when you get back to the hotel. FOTL is good through the day you leave. For instance, you arrive on Saturday and leave on Sunday-it's good for both days! You'll love it.
Specifically, you show your room key @ the entrance to the rides/attractions. You will then be shown the FOTL line. We are putting our keys in badge holders
with ribbons so that we don't have to constantly dig through either our wallet
or purse.

I was wondering about that. I thought they scanned the card each time you go through the line. If we use lanyards for everyone will the kids have to take them out each time? I worry about them getting lost !!

Thanks

Last year they didn't scan. I don't know if that has changed. If it has, however, the cms are very oragnized and I would trust them not to rush you-so no worries about lsong the card. The badge holders I bought have a ziploc sort of closure.

Our lanyards have a zipper pocket and a velcro window. We got them at walmart. Our last visit we only had our room key scanned at the mummy. everywhere else they just looked and waved us by.

Okay, I have a question about this: We expect to arrive in Orlando in the morning of the 1st of July. I know that check in at RPH is at 4. Can we check in then (even if our room isn't ready) so we have our key, then go to the parks? or, do we need to hangout at CitiWalk until close to four...(shopping, eating , etc)

Thanks. Its early in the morning and my brain hasn't started working yet. :surfweb:

You can check in as soon as you get there. They will give you room key to use for FOTL even though your room isn't ready. They will call you (if you have a cell phone) and let you know when your room is ready. So...you can spend ALL of your check in day (no matter when your room is ready) with FOTL and ALL of your check out day with FOTL. Those room keys are magic.
They will hold you luggage for you at the hotel on check in and check out day also.

That's awesome! Great! My husband hates to shop for trinkets! LOL

(Can't even get him to go to Cracker Barrell to eat! LOL)

It's best to check in as early as possible because the line is short and your room may be ready. 7-8am is good. In the afternoon, your wait is 30 minutes and the room will not be ready until 4-5pm. Go early, get your magic keys, and head to the parks.
