When does Christmas start in DL?

We are considering going to DL over the Thanksgiving weekend this year.

I remember seeing the shows on the Travel Channel about how WDW does Christmas and was amazed by all the cool stuff that they do. I know that DL does the same type of stuff...but wasn't sure when they do it.

Does anyone know when DL starts putting up all the Christmas decorations and parades?

Do they setup anything special for Christmas or even Thanksgiving at DL?

The decorations and the small world holiday and Nightmare before christmas haunted mansion are up fairly early in November. The parades and fireworks start november 16th, so you will get to see everything if you go at thanksgiving. And let me just say, it is very lovely and magical at disneyland this time of year everyone seems to be in a festive mood.

Usually the first full weekend in Nov is the kick off of the holiday season. So visiting near Thanksgiving, you will definitely see all the decorations.
