When does Christmas Decor really go "up"?

around the WDW resort? Do they really wait till Thanksgiving to "light" the decorations up?
We currently have reservations for December but may have to change to the week before Thanksgiving so I wondered if we would get to see anything. Thanks

They start to put things up around the 1st of November. They do not light anyting up until Thanksgiving though. Last year at MGM they were testing the Osborne lights one of the nights that I was there, so I did get a teaser glance at the new osborne location.
