What time does the Carnation Cafe open based on rope drop? An hour before? Since it's on Main Street I know it starts serving breakfast before the park officially opens. Thanks!

Um....or it doesn't? :goodvibes That's what I'm wondering...it's on Main Street by shops that are all open before rope drop...I remember eating there as a kid before the rope drop, like in the 70s, but curious to know now what happens. Now it seems like a good place to go with our kids. I was thinking of doing a breakfast there one morning. I guess if I call for a reservation I'll know for sure, but still curious to know if anyone has eaten there in the hour before the rope drop...

In the last several trips, I've not been allowed through the gates more than 15 minutes before park opening. Then we were held up around Candy Palace (okay I was in line for Candy Canes, but everyone else was held there too). I don't think Main St is open pre-park opening anymore. I know for Minnie's there is a sign by one of the gates nearest DTD for those with PS. But that's usually on MM days (available even if you don't have MM) or at like 9:15 am when the park doesn't open until 10 in the off season.

It's a fabulous breakfast. I highly recommend it. Say hi to Oscar, he's amazing. He's been there for 54 years!!!!

Okay. That is so interesting! Thanks Shannon!

We are looking forward to it. The last few trips we rushed, rushed, rushed, and I am way overplanning this trip per usual DISBoard technique, but we are hoping with staying onsite at GCH and having several days and older kids, that we can stop and check things out like we haven't taken the time to do in the past.

I am going to make a Sunday morning reservation here, knowing that the park opens at 7 for MM...we will go for a while and then take a late morning breakfast break!

I don't think it opens early, everytime we've eaten there the earliest table is park opening. It's delish tho.....try the cinnamon roll french toast, or heck, just the cinnamon roll, that thing could feed a small family by itself. LOL
