When does a "no show" charge post to cc?

I made an ADR yesterday for lunch and when we arrived today the reservation did not show up (it is in MDE). We were seated as a walk-in, but of course I'm concerned that I'm going to get a $10 per person charge on my cc when the system is updated. Will it post at the end of the day? I was told to hang onto my receipt and guest services will help me out if I get charged. Not what I want to deal with on vacation.

Mine took over a week, and it was a CC not a debit card. It depends on how long transactions usually take to post to your card.

I will say, I called Guest Service when I was home and noticed it and they refunded it without a fight.

This was about a yr ago, it was a few hrs. We have alerts on our CC. We had an ADR at trails end for 6 pm, but we were hungry so we went over. We were seated about 5 ish. Around 8, my phone beeps, our CC was charged the no show fee. I went down to front desk and they saw that we had eaten there and took it off.
