When does a baby become a toddler?

I was talking with my dh this past weekend and we were discussing baby stages (our dd is 11 months old) and we could not remember if a baby becomes a toddler at one?

What do you think?

I think a baby becomes a toddler when he/she learns to walk. You know, when they actually start to "toddle". So, it could be a 11 months or 14 months, whenever they get up on those feet and go....

Two years. That's when the baby clothes sizes are identified as toddler instead of months. LOL

That's how I always saw it too.

I don't know that there is a specific age. My arbitrary guess would be age 2.

Children oficially become toddlers at 15 months ... I teach a toddelr enrichment class and we only accept 15 mos and up.. If: you go by OFC anyway!

I always figured it was around 18 months--round about when you stopped counting in months!

when they start "toddling".....10 months for some, 12, 14, or 16 months for others.

its developmental, not age, and as a pp stated, its when they start walking (according to my ped and everything I've read on it).
