when do your kids go back to school?

We were out on 6/4 and go back on 8/19.

We start September 8th, as do all other Minnesota schools. We have a state law that says it can't start before Labor Day .

Central NY here, My oldest starts Kindergarten ( ) on Sept 8th. My DSS lives in WI and starts Sept 1 (2 days after he gets home from going on our Disney trip!!)

Schools here aren't out yet, not until June 25th!! Yikes, short summer!!

I still don't know for sure when our school starts next year. I hear it's Sept 2 but it could be after labor day.

Not sure about all schools in MA but my girls start school on Sept 1st this year and then have Labor day off.

My kids get out 6/18 and go back 9/2. This is the first time ever for them to go back before labor day.

We are done June 26, go back Wed or Thurs. after Labor Day.

Our school district tried starting BEFORE Labor Day (though in September) one year and boy did a lot of kids miss those days. I don't think they'll ever do that again! Around here - the world is closed the last 2 weeks of August - huge vacation weeks.

My boys (entering 8th grade and junior in high school) go back September 9 and will be done next week, June 15.

They would have been out June 10 but our school district tacked on 3 extra snow days.

We get done next Wednesday (1/2 day) and go back Tuesday after Labor Day. Growing up this way, I always feel like Labor Day marks the end of the summer and the beginning of school.

My DS & DD's last day was 6/4. I am now the mother of a 5th & 1st grader. However, they are the only ones getting older!

Their first day back is 8/24.

We are back on August 17. Just like others where Labor day is the end of summer, Memorial Day is the begining of our summer. Have to say I feel sorry for my sister in Seattle who is STILL in school . THen again, I'm rather jealous when Labor Day comes along and she is still sittin by the pool.
