When do you throw away your soap slivers????

:confused3 I just don't feel as clean with shower gel or liquid soap for the shower. I love my dove bar of soap.
I even carved a into a bar of soap one day "I Dove You" and left it for DH. It was Valentines Day years ago and I'm sappy. :upsidedow

Dork ;)

Duh, leave it upside down (that's why most have flat tops), pick it up, pop open and sqeeze. Sheesh. Takes less time than to return 50 cents.
*SNAP* :rotfl2:
Hello, how hard is that? :confused3 Come one Tig get with the program here!
:rotfl:
Whenever I leave a bottle of something upside down, when I go to open it up it squirts out--I guess the pressure builds up. :rotfl:

Where is the Tag Fairy???

I have the opposite husband....:lmao:

When the bar gets too little he opens up a new one and leaves the soap slivers for me to throw away.

Oh, gosh, this is one of my secret little obsessions. I LOVE to use something completely up, whether it's a soap sliver, a candle, the last of the conditioner, etc. I get really pretty excited (well, comparatively speaking - after all, it's just soap!) when I'm getting close, and I'll move that sliver to the sink and use it to wash my hands until it literally dissolves. So much fun!!!!

A saner person would probably just throw it away....

We don't throw them away. We make the sliver wet and the new bar wet and then press them together really hard. After about 20 seconds they are essentially one. No waste.

Ivory, in case you're wondering.

I guess I'm cheap and lazy...I put the soap slivers in an old liquid soap pump bottle, add some water, and shake...instant liquid soap for quick hand washes at the sink. Just keep adding water and soap...

I refuse to share soap with my husband! YUCK!!!! He has boy germs.

I actually don't share a bathroom with him for this very reason. :goodvibes

But I will use the soap till it's all gone, not really because of frugality, more because of laziness.

That is why I don't have any bar soap in the house. I only use liquids or powder - I can use it all.

Gel for me, bar for hubby, but he always "marries" the sliver to the new bar. He can't bear to throw out "perfectly good soap".

i hate bar soap and i hate when DH does this
i end up throwing them away and putting out a new bar

REALLY?????????

And we're sharing a room soon.........:rolleyes1

:scared1:

My mother had a bucket under the sink where she would collect soap slivers.
someday she was gonna make new bars of soap out of them.
A flood came. that was some soapy flood waters. everything was clean tho;)

Scares the one who is NOT rooming with me and excites the one who IS.........hmmm..........:scratchin
Maybe you're the scared one now... ;)
