We're currently booked for next June, but time will tell. I love the low crowds right now, but we spend a decent chunk of change just getting to WDW, so we don't go that often, and therefore don't really want to drop that chunk of change if a lot of what we love about WDW isn't available.

So it all depends on what's available in 2021 and what the cost will be. If we feel like we're getting enough for our money, and there's no other issues to deal with, then we'll go in 2021---whether it be the June dates we have booked, or some other 2021 dates. But no way to know for sure right now.

Did not vote as I have no idea when we'll go back, or if we're done. Definitely not until we feel safe and until we can have the full Disney experience back and not a poor shadow of itself. We have been going since MK opened so we have experienced lots of 'Disney', but at this time there's little to attract us. :sad1:

I'm going in September.

I'm planning to be in The World for the 50th.

I'm curious to experience The World with all the changes and challenges. It's worth it to me to try something different.

I would have said 2021 if it weren't for a major plumbing issue at our house that came up today.

We were at MK opening day and we’ll be back for a week at the end of this month. The only thing I’m really sad to miss out on is HEA!

We had planned on going Dec '21 before the pandemic happened. For now we are still planning on going. I am just flabbergasted that Disney is still charging full price for what they are offering right now. So much of WDW involves the shows, fireworks, parades, and dining. Not gonna lie I also enjoy going at more crowded times for the communal experience and that Disney runs everything wide open capacity wise (The Week before Christmas is my favorite).

In my opinion, right now Epcot is an embarrassment. They should close it down entirely and finish their ongoing projects, the spine, bring back the performers and cultural reps, and redo SSE... If they cheap out before our trip, we will be skipping next Dec.

I’m going in October. Not because I’m enthusiastic about going back, but because I’m meeting up with my siblings. I have a ton of DVC points tied up in a Grand Villa and I’ve reached the point of no return (past my banking deadline, points expire Nov. 30). I’m not looking forward to a full-price cost for a half-baked experience. I’m going so that I can see my brothers and sister all together.

I’ll be taking 2021 off. I don’t care if there’s a vaccine, herd immunity or a guaranteed treatment. The 50th isn’t important to me. I’ve been needing a break from Disney for a while. It’s time for a trial separation.

Setting COVID and related restrictions aside (we live in Canada and will of course wait until the border reopens and travel seems reasonable health-wise), our park-related non-negotiables will be:

1. Fireworks and parades returning
2. All restaurants reopened with full menus, ideally DDP available
3. Ability to easily park and resort hop, plan our itinerary with flexibility
4. Character meet and greets and character meals resuming
5. Regular park hours
6. No masks required (traveling with a 2 year old who can do max 1 hour at a time)

It seems unlikely this will be in 2021, it makes me sad but I think at this point we are looking at 2022. While I wouldn't mind the experience of a scaled-back trip, there is no way I could stomach paying a luxury vacation price for it.

These are my requirements, as well. We are not ride only folks.

I'm not angry about any of the restrictions anymore. I've done my grieving and life is what it is nowadays.

But, I'm too frugally minded to pay the same for less experience.

I put 2-4 years as I'm hoping things have returned on the above list. If not, I will continue to find other things to do.

I canceled our September 2020 trip and didn't rebook anything. I'm waiting until things are back to normal with no face masks, everything open, character meals, parades, fireworks, etc. Like other I'm not paying full price for a devalued vacation. Luckily we've been plenty of times and have no problem waiting for a few years (or more).

I'm set to check in in 26 days with a group of 8 adults. we had tossed around the ideas of rescheduling/cancelling many times, but ultimately a few things came in to play:
1. this group of 8 of us wouldn't be able to all travel together until November/December of 2021
2. more than half of our group goes to Disney (in some capacity) yearly.
3. Being adults we usually go on rides during parades/night time shows and don't really wait in line for character meet n greets unless it is convenient or for one of our favorites. the only nighttime show that will truly be missed is Fantasmic which we have all seen numerous times.
4. we have a TA in the family that gets us bits and pieces of discounts which makes the money not much of a problem
5. we are all healthy adults that have the capability of quarantining once we get home

ultimately, and i have mentioned this on another post, we know exactly what we are getting ourselves into if we travel in 26 days. Whereas, if we were to postpone our trip to the end of 2020 or sometime in 2021, there would be a lot still up in the air.

Hoping for Christmas week 2021, but it's REALLY going to depend on where we stand with Covid by then.

We are currently booked for end of May/June but I'm waiting to see how things go in the next few months to make any final decisions. There's no precedence to even begin predicting what will happen in the next 3 - 6 months, so I'm just hanging on and waiting.

...so shows and fireworks are my favorite part of a Disney World vacation. I'm sure gonna miss them. Nights are going to be particularly sad - who doesn't LOVE the parks after dark? I worry that the resorts will feel very crowded after 7PM. After all, usually a majority of the guests are in the parks until 10PM or so and then pretty much crash in their rooms after a long day. So everyone will be at the resort.

Listen to me; giving myself reasons to not go in September. "sad" and "worry" should not be adjectives used to describe a vacation.

But I'm going...

We still have a trip planned for October. haven't decided if we will cancel or not. A lot will depend on travel restrictions (quarantining after returning) and whether we feel safe flying. Driving is not really an option.

I have a reservation for mid-December, but I don't think it's going to happen. My next reservation is for April which might still happen.
