When do you take your afternoon break?

We usually leave after lunch and plan to come back before the flag retreat. I know that's not really helpful since the times for the flag retreat change depending on the season, but, we just adjust our schedule to it. It's nice to come back rested, grab some popcorn and sit and wait for the F/R.

We arrive when the park opens and leave in the afteroon around 2:00/3:00. Return to the hotel to rest/nap and return to the park around 5:00/6:00 and stay till closing.

Exactly. Not sure though with this next trip that there will be all that many breaks. We break more when at WDW for some reason, maybe because the trips are longer and the kids are getting older now? My 13 y/o never wants a break.
