when do you put up your christmas tree

Generally around the time you put yours up.
Well.
For us it's almost December. If I put mine up after Thanksgiving it would already be up.
We have a fake tree. I hate real trees, they smell awful (if I wanted to breath pine tree 24/7, I'd live in a forest thank-you, I can find those year round), they make a horrible mess and you always have to get a new one. Plus fake ones are so much easier to put away. And they're not as puffy, so you can actually put the ornaments on so you can see them, more room for presents underneath.. and you can put up as early as you want, and put it away when you want.
I would be the perfect poster child for fake Xmas trees.

We put together our 16 year old fake tree around the first week of december.
(Yeah, the tree was in the family before I was. :| )
But this year we're putting it up right after thanks giving since we wont be home the first week of December (going to Disney!), and so we can just come home to our pretty ornament-y tree. :]

We put up our fake tree the day after Thanksgiving. That whole weekend is devoted to putting up not just our tree, but also the rest of our Christmas decorations.
It's always one of my favorite weekends on the year, since I loveee Christmas!

We always do a real tree. It is tradition for us to go to the tree farm and do the hay ride. We look around and find the perfect tree. We generally put it up in the second week of December. I swear that my family is a bit crazy when it comes to Christmas though. In addition to the big tree, we always put up 7 fake mini trees. They are all about two and a half feet high, and each has its own theme. There is a nutcracker tree, a tree with tiny balls, a tree with our collection of shimmering ornaments, a fiberoptic tree, a tree with just lights, and a tree that looks like our big one, just smaller. There is also a another little tree that sits on top of the piano, with just lights. It's madness!

um, we too have a fake tree. my dad and i are terribly allergic. we put it up the day or two before thanksgiving. we take it down like the second week in january.

but, we always go to the christmas tree farm with my g-ma, g-pa, aunt, and cousins and go out to breakfast and all that stuff.

Haha jk. I would not allow it to be up this early in my house. We normally put it up a couple of days- a week after thanksgiving.

We traditionally put our trees up the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Since we added on to our house, we have room for two good sized trees.
