When do you purchase airfare for Thanksgiving week?

We have BCV reserved from Nov. 19 - 25 but we've never gone down for Thanksgiving...only early November and February.

Usually I keep an eye on airfares and wait for "the right price". Will this work for this time of the year as well? I notice that prices are in the $300 range right now but I gotta think the price is going to drop.

What's the latest you've booked airfare for Thanksgiving week?

I booked right at 330 out ASAP and my rate has gone way up already. I got 4 tickets for $661 out of Boston with Song and they are now $861.

I do the same with my rental car. Booked ASAP at $170 and it is now $400!!

I am going to Vegas (not Disney) Nov 19-Nov 26, the airfare is high, but I've checked all the other dates, even Xmas week and I'm beginning to think I should jump on the $300 airfare now as I'm afraid its a busy travel week and the flights will book quickly. I notice if I return on Nov 25 the airfare drops $60 but I need to return on Sat which I'm assuming is a high travel day, so I'm going to book it now.

Airfare usually doesn't go down for a holiday week, so I'd book now and watch fares. If they come down, you can usually get a voucher to be used on future travel.

I will be there Nov. 19-25 and booked about a month ago with Midwest Express at 217.40 each. They are now 242.01. So get them quick.

Oh so happy to see others from DIS will be there when I will be!!
