When do you open gifts/how do you celebrate?

Christmas Day. I will make Christmas breakfast and watch Christmas movies in the morning/early afternoon. Then I will go to my parents house late afternoon for dinner.

We open gifts Christmas Eve (or if we have to celebrate on an alternate date, we open them the night my sister and BIL arrive). We used to do it Christmas morning, but we decided several years ago that we wanted to sleep in on Christmas Day and that wasn’t going to happen with unopened gifts under the tree.

Normally family gifts are under the tree well before Christmas. Santa gifts arrive under the tree between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. No order to how gifts are opened normally.
Kind of in limbo right now as our daughter was exposed to Covid at work. Even if she continues to test negative, we may have to put off Christmas until New Years. That's because her days off will be canceled due to the outbreak because she will be the only one on her shift in her job classification not out of town on vacation or with Covid. And if she tests positive, her company has a HUGE problem.
