When do you make your decision

I'm still undecided where we're staying on my December trip (either Dolphin or WL, I have reservations at both atm). When is a good time to make this decision (what's the timeframe you generally give yourself)? Anybody have any thoughts? This is my first ever time branching out from DL/POR.

I know I would like to have my trip firmed up by now. But that is just how I am. I would be worried that what I wanted wouldnt be there.

Since you have reservations, just decide before your penalties kick in....

I always give myself about 6 months. This way I can get all of my ADR's and room reservations made at the same time.

You don't have to have your room booked in order to make ADRs, but since you're holding reservation for both you should be set either way. Personally, I'd go with WL over Dolphin and be cognizant of the cancelation penalities.

I have not stayed at either but the WL has a fireplace in the lobby which makes it warm and cozy for the winter. It's also under one roof so if it rains you won't have to hurry and find your building. I have heard great things about the WL. When I ate at Whispering Canyon(I recommend you eat there.)the hotel looked really nice.
