when do you know what cabin you're in?

I'm reserved with 2 cabins on a cat. 11 guarantee and I don't know where they are putting me on the ship. I requested AFT. The sail date is in about 52 days. Do they tell me on the final docs or when I get to the port? I've cruised twice before and I just don't remember the drill! I'm just hoping I end up in the back of boat. Unless they want to give me a cat 3 in the front HEE HEE!

Our TA told us we wouldn't hear until about 30 days out, but it was more than that - maybe 45 or so. We also booked Gty 11 and got a 9.

The number will be on the docs unless you still don't have a room assigned (I believe that's a possibility with a guarantee).

Keep calling DCL....

3 weeks ago I reserved cat 9 GTY for 5/7/05 7-day.....I just called DCL last weekend, and we were assigned a stateroom...Unfortunately, it was not to my liking, so I called my TA....he called DCL, and after a little wrangling, was able to reserve one of my top 10 favorite cat 9 staterooms....

I'm also on the May 7th. I just want to be in the back of the ship. I hope they don't do me any favors and upgrade me to a 9 or 10 and send me to deck 1 forward! YIKES!

We were upgraded to a Deck 1 stateroom (1048) last March and we really enjoyed it!

Luckily everybody's needs aren't the same. I'm sure lots of people love deck 1 forward. It's convenient for getting on and off of the ship. I just personally prefer the back of the ship close to the food (go figure!)
