When do you kids go back to school?

Pre planning is August 5 and 6 for me. My kids come back August 9. My high school sophomore will be at The Fringe Festival the first full week of school, so she doesn't return to classes until August 17. My college sophomore moves back August 24 and starts classes the next day.

Oldest DS has to be at college Aug 14 with classes starting the 23rd. Other two kids start school Aug 17, I work at elem school and go back Aug 16th

Back to school/college dorm shopping this weekend. It's all going too fast!

August 9 here in Atlanta. I seem to be in the minority but I like the early release (May) with an early return. I wish we had a year round schedule. My child is bored to tears now and can't wait for school to start.

Schools in my area of Kansas go back on August 18. Last day of school was May 28 because we had to use 3 snow days. I'm almost done school shopping!

My son starts August 31, but each town in Massachusetts sets their own date. Some towns begin after Labor Day.

Wow, i've got you all beat! Our public school usually starts the Thursday after Labor Day however that is a Jewish Holiday, so we don't start until Friday the 10th, and then we have the weekend.

Of course this means we get out really late, this year it was June 24th.

Usually the Wednesday before Labor Day. I like to think they are easing the kids into the school year

3 day week, then 4 day week and then 5 days.

This year its Sept 1st unless they dont figure out the contract this summer and strike...

Not all of New Jersey starts after labor day. In our area the school districts are starting on 9/1 or 9/2 before labor day. When I was growing up we always went back after labor day.
