Urgent Question!

I am trying to get our flights arranged and I am having trouble getting a return flight before 5pm. Could we linger on the ship? What time does disembarkment begin? What time do you have to be off by?

From what I've read here they want you off the ship pretty early in the morning. Think around 9 or 10 at the latest. Cruise newbie here so maybe someone with more experience can jump in

I am trying to remember what time we had to be off, I think it was about 9am that everyone had to be off the ship.

i don't recall the exact time but it was early. if you can't find a flight earlier in the day you can get a room at the hotel inside the orlando airport-they offer a day rate. we've done this in the past so that the kids could watch tv while we showered and took a nap.

What a GREAT tip! That is why I just LOVE these boards :cheer2:

The Hyatt MCO offers a day rate. Call the hotel directly.

Also, with a five pm flight - particularly if you rent a car, you'd have time for Kennedy Space Center, Blizzard Beach, Disney Quest or outlet mall shopping.

Disney requests everyone off the ship by 9:00 or 9:30....they only have a short time to get the ship ready for the next group of passengers....you must be out of your cabin by 8:00 am.

Granted some times things get jammed up a bit, but everyone should be off by 9:00-9:30 barring any delays from Customs clearing the ship or getting back to port late (which does happen from time to time).

And with a day rate, they kids could use the pool, correct? That would be a nice relaxing way to use up time.

We just got off the wonder on Sunday May 29th. If you have early dinner seating then they request you eat at 6:45am at the place you had dinner the night before! UGH! If you have late seating, then you eat around 8:00. Anyway, if you want to sleep in and skip the early seating, you can eat at the beach blanket buffet until 8:30...then you have to disembark by 9:00! The lines were long and we were off the ship by 9:20. We had a late flight also...7:45pm, so we went to Seaworld but if I had to do it over again...I would book a day room at the Hyatt! Seaworld was great...but we were worn out from spending a week at DW before the cruise! Have a great time! We sure did and we are thinking of booking a 7 night in 2007!

We had to be off the ship by 9:00am on both the Wonder and the Magic. We got a day room at the MCO Hyatt, swam in the pool, went down to get lunch to go and took it back to the room for a relaxing, quiet lunch. Stretched out on the bed, watch some TV, went back to the pool for a while, then went to airport security. Overall, a very relaxing way to end a vacation, and we will probably do the same thing when we get off the Magic after the August repo cruise.

You have to vacate your rooms though by 8a. HiHo...HiHo was right re: 6:45a breakfast time for early seating & 8a for late seating. Remember you have to take your carry on luggage with you to breakfast so pack accordingly. We went to BBB for buffet, brought it back to the room & then left by 8a so we didn't have to take all of our stuff w/ us to the restaurant. HiHo...HiHo - looked for you on the ship but never saw you. Glad you all had a great time as did we!

I know, I was thinking of you also! Next time i will get the green tags and put them on the door. Our whole trip was a little overwhelming since we were at WDW for the week before and never had been there or on the cruise before! But...we had a blast and I can definately see us doing it again! Especially the cruise...a little more relaxing for my taste...until the kids get a little older maybe. Loved the WL resort also...
Carleesmom - when are you going to book again:) We are thinking of a 7 day 2007 cruise. Not sure if we can swing one next year or not! What awesome weather we had! A little hot, but better than rainy and windy! Did you get seasick at all? Would love to hear what you thought!
