Yep, you get the medal at the finish line and you need to keep a 16 minute mile to not get swept!

Not everyone who signs up and pays gets a medal.
You must complete the race within the pace limits. From the time YOU cross the start line you need to keep an average pace of a 16min mile and cross the finish line, then they put the medal around your neck. Remember though, the RACE time starts for the sweepers the moment the last person crosses the start line, so if you are in front of this person you will have somewhat of a time cushion.
