When do we get our marriage certificate?

I'm wondering when we can expect to receive our marriage certificate. I am taking my husband's last name and want to change over my bank info, credit cards, etc. but I need the marriage certificate to do so.

When can we expect to receive it? We were married by Rev. Jack Day on January 22, 2007.

Can other marrieds let me know how long it took for them to receive it in the mail, after their weddings?

It took us about two weeks to recieve it in the mail. We used Rev. Kevin Knox instead of Jack Day. I don't know if that makes a difference. Try calling Rev. Jack Day to see if he knows if its been sent out because I really don't think that it takes two months to recieve it, but maybe I'm wrong. Just in case, I would call and find out if something has been done in regards to your marriage certificate. Hope this helps.

We used Rev Jack and ours took around 3/4 weeks to receive but we are in the UK so i expect it should take less time than that! Id give him a call and check up!

We have Rev Jack and the certificate took about 2 weeks (to canada).

I'd call him and see when he filed it.

We finally got to the bottom of it, after talking to both Rev. Jack Day and A Wedding For You, and the court house in Florida... phew!

I guess, somehow, the courthouse had just our street address - no city, no province, no postal code, no country, and they sent it out anyway, so our marriage certificate is floating out there in the US postal system somewhere.

My husband called the courthouse and gave them our full address and they're sending us another copy.

We're married after all!

I'm so glad that you have it sorted out. Phew! Forget about the raw footage...I would have been SO stressed! I'm really surprised the courthouse would have sent it out with only a street address and not try and contact the person on the contact number!!!!

You must feel better knowing it's on its way. I'm all set for the weekend -- skates are packed. One of the first dates DH and I had was going skating in the moonlight. It'll be nice to be back.
