We are heading for a combo Universal/Xmas party trip on Thursday We are gong to be at WDW Saturday and Sunday. Will the decorations be up? Or is it way to early.

There are reports that at least some decorations are up in MK today.

Resorts or Parks?
Resorts not for a few weeks, finishes up near Thanksgiving.
Parks are starting now

Christmas parties start next week, so I'm sure Magic Kingdom has decorations, at the very least. As other have said, the parks are more likely to be decorated before all the resorts are finished, but I'll bet that at least Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (Osborne lights are already on) are decorated for you this weekend.

Yay and we are heading to the Christmas party opening night:) can't wait!

The gardens are being replanted this week in the MK.

The only thing that will be "missing" for you regarding MK decorations is the big Christmas tree. That doesn't go up until Christmas parade taping is over. Epcot won't get most of their decorations until Food and Wine is over as their holiday festivities don't start until the day after Thanksgiving. Resorts will done closer to Thanksgiving as well.

Are they going to put up the gingerbread house this year? Isn't it usually up by now????

No, pretty sure it is not. I know someone that was there near Thanksgiving last year and it was up but it was not open for tours.

Last year the gingerbread house was up at the GF in the first two weeks of NOV. We went to see it on our trip. We had dinner at 1900PF

Yup.

Not that I can ever remember. All the resorts will be completed by the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. The Deluxes are in a lottery to determine the order they are to start and this information is not published. But the usually start about 10 - 14 days before Thanksgiving.

Last year we were there November 10-14. The gingerbread house at GF was well established and almost finished, though they were still working on it!

Two years ago when I was at WDW this time of year, the gingerbread house was up. Not open, but up and ready. I took lots of pics of it.....

Is the gingerbread house up in the lobby of the Grand Floridian yet?
I was there one year around the middle of November, and they were putting the gingerbread house together then.

The Christmas tree is already up in MK as are the holiday decorations. Photos were posted online earlier today or yesterday.

Yes, I am aware. When this thread was started on Tuesday it was not up and based on past history the tree normally doesn't go up until after parade taping since it blocks certain camera angles. Glad we get the tree for a little bit longer this holiday season.
