When do the kids go back to school?

Here in England my kids dont break up until July 25th. They go back Sept 4th.
Its far too short a break but we can still fit in our Disney fix.

We go back Aug. 21. I was holding my breath waiting for the district to release its calendar cause we'll be back from WDW on the 19th. I was praying they wouldn't start the week of the 14th!

Orange County, FL goes back to school on August 7th (I can't believe just three weeks away - where did the summer go.)

They then have two days off in Oct 12 & 13, three days at Thanksgiving (unless we have "Hurricane Days"); Dec 19th - Jan 3rd for Winter Break; March 13-17 for Spring break, and last day of school May 23rd!



Osceola County is August 8th

We go back to school August 1st!! But we get a week off in September so I'm planning to go then.

In Delaware both DD's start back on August 28. One is in middle school and the others in college.

1 Week for Thanksgiving
2 weeks for Christmas/New Years
1 week for Mardi Gras
1 Week for Easter

They usually break a few days after Labor Day.

Hey there Russell. We are in Canton, GA. We just recently moved from Woodstock. We also get the week off in Sept and plan to visit Disney. Can't wait.

Lake County goes back August 10, so probably by then most of the locals will be back in school.

Here in South Jersey the kids go back the Wed after Labor day, 9/6. We don't get out for summer break till mid June. When I was a kid we always went to WDW the last two weeks of August just before school started. And we will be there this August 20-30. This is the first year I have had to plan vacation around school (my ds starts kindergarten this year).

We ( Newnan, GA) got out of school May 26th, and go back Monday, August 7th.

I am a teacher in Western New York. We start up right after Labor Day and go till the 20's in June. Our Superintendent is trying to lengthen the school year and the school day! We get about 1 1/2 weeks off at Christmas and Easter. Some districts around here get a February break, we do not.
