When do the decorations change?

When do the Halloween decorations come down in the Magic Kingdom? I see the last date for the MNSSHP is November 1st, do they leave them up for a time or is that when they are removed? s there a time with no special decor or do the Christmas ones go right up in their place?

Magic Kingdom they will usually be gone before the park opens nov 2 and over that week slowly build up to the full "xmas" decorations. some stuff starts sooner like the crane will be out putting up the holiday lights on the castle long before mnsshp is over but not being used right away...

most of the decorations are main street, hub and the flowers just outside of the park. there is less and less that goes up around the rest. (not absent, but not as well decorated as other properties).

We were in MK last year on the day of the last Halloween party (might have been Sun.) When we went back to MK the following Saturday it was fully decorated and they had the frozen castle lighting show that night.

It was literally overnight after the last MNSSHP the year we went at that time. Obviously it gets built on as the weeks pass but we seriously went one day with full Halloween deco and then the Christmas street streamers (or whatever they are called) were hanging the next day.

We were in the MK October 31 last year (not for the party) and we also opened the park on Nov 1 - it was like Halloween never happened. And there was Christmas decor everywhere. A Christmas tree on the train station platform, the street light wreaths, poinsettias planted in the Mickey garden and all through the park. My mind was blown. They accomplished all that between midnight and 9 am.

Check out this time lapse video of how it goes down after the guests have left and the elves take over:

If we'll be there during the first days of MVMCP, is it safe to assume that at least some of the Christmas decorations will be up in MK? What about the other parks and the resorts? Trying to plan accordingly since our 180+10 is coming up soon(ish)!

1. MK will be 100% Christmas decorated before the first MVMCP.
2. Much will be up elsewhere by the first MVMCP,
and continue to to increased until all Christmas at all locations
fully ready by Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

Thanks Robo! We were at DL last year during the same time period, and it was amazing how much the decorations increased as we went further into November. I wish we could take a trip closer to Christmas, but glad that we'll get to experience at least some of the holiday magic!

We were there the first week of November before and on the first day we were there it was Halloween and then overnight it was Christmas at MK. The other parks don't get their decorations up as fast. Last year we were there the second week of November and our resort (The Poly) was just starting to get their decorations up as we were leaving.
