When do the Christmas Decorations come down?

Our trip is scheduled for January 7-13th. Now I know there have been other boards about how EARLY Disney has had their decorations out this year and I would enjoy THAT...I have my own house decorated as of this past Thursday. However, I'm sure that by the 7th of January we will be ready to move from Christmas and we're hoping everything will be down. Does anyone know when all the christmas decorations and christmas music will be gone?

We were there a few years ago as they were taking the decorations down. Somewhere I have a cool picture of the tree in GF coming down. Anyway, it was some time late in the first week of January (somewhere between the 7th and the 9th I guess). I hope that helps.

Anyone know when they stop playing the Christmas music and return to their "regularly schedule programming"?

We were there this New Year's Day, a Sun. By Tues. the big tree between the Swan and Dolphin was gone and nearly everything else throughout WDW was down by Wed. We. too, were glad to end the holidays, especially since the weather was so summery with daily highs between 75 and 85 the whole 10 days we were there.

The parks will probably have their decorations down by Jan 6 since the half marathon is on the 7th. The Lights of Winter may still be up on Jan 8 for the marathon, but they might only be lit during the marathon. The resorts will probably be taking theirs down that weekend also.
