Hi-
I booked Jan 2004 at AKL Concierge & BWI Concierge. The rate I was booked at was $480/night w/out tax, $535.20/night w/tax. The confirmation reads "Rate per room/per night--Rate Not Determined, Rate for 2003 is $480.00. So what they do is book your room at the regular season rack rate and then when the rates come out (sometime in late summer, early autumn) then the rate is adjusted. Also the rate would be adjusted if you called and could apply a code or AP rate.
I didn't understand what they did when I booked mine, but someone here was nice enough to explain it to me. It doesn't matter that I am going in value season, they still booked the regular season rack rate.
I was really flipping when I called and booked at that rate but I decided it was worth it to take a chance. The hardest part for me is coming up with a little over a thousand dollars to pay 2 1st night deposited since we are changing resorts during our stay. It irks me that the money is in their hands for about a year, but I'm just happy we are going!
Hope this helps!
