I am thinking of taking the kids to Disneyland for a day in March......either the 17, 18 or 19. It will be a weekday and am hoping for light weekday crowds, but the hours are longer so I am wondering if I can expect it to be busy already?

Any thoughts?

We were there during spring break last year (march 29-April 3) and it wasn't super busy during the week. This is coming from someone who has only done off season in the past. As long as you arrive early, grab fast passes and go knowing it will be crowded you will have a nice trip. Definately read hydro guy's tips!

Also if you stay to park close it tends to thin out a ton after fireworks. We were litterally walking onto most fantasyland rides, walked on the nemo submarine ride, bobsleds were a 5 min wait and space 10 min. I would avoid the 19th since it is a friday and the locals may come in after work/school. During the day I remember Space having a 60 min wait at one point. We actually ended up with left over fast passes because we didn't need them!

If you need any more help feel free to PM me

Some Arizona schools have Spring Break the 8th-12th. I think by mid-March there will be quite a few schools on Spring Break. We went last year about that time (mid-March) and it was definitely busy, but nothing terrible.

You'll have a variety of school age and college age groups on spring break. It shouldn't be the mad house of the following 2 weeks with the Easter breaks.

Washington's falls the week before Easter this year. Oregon's start's the weekend you are going.

Im in Oregon and our spring break starts the 20th. I think this is why we'll be there from the 8th to the 13th LOL hoping to beat MOST of the crowds!
;)

We were there the same time last year, and at times it was astoundingly busy (not in a bad way, just surprising). But, oh so nice.
