When do schools go back in Aug.

Hi All,
I am planning a trip for Aug, 2007 and was just wondering when the majority of schools get back in session. Trying to plan for the slowest time in Aug.

Our schools don't go back till the day after Labor Day.

Our school don't go back until Labor Day. If you look at the park hours you'll see they start to decrease by the week of 8/20/07. That means the parks don't expect to be as busy. If you go the week of 8/27/07 it will most likely be pretty quiet, unless they offer free dining.

I have read this several places. Even if school isn't back in session, many people don't want to travel right at the end of vacation.

FYI, here in Atlanta the schools start back mid-August (different times for different districts).

My daughter goes back mid-August - probably the 13th, but I haven't checked the schedule out yet. I'm still working on this year!

We usually start the Tuesday or Wednesday before Labor Day. Now I know here in Ohio, Cedar Point amusment parks and other tourism type businesses are planning on lobbying to have a law that school can't start until after Labor Day. I believe Michigan passed a law like that last year.

Schools here are starting back up on August 27. Then, the next year, we will start after Labor Day.

We are down to just 8 1/2 or 9 weeks in the summer. We have fall break instead. This schedule seems to go on forever.
