When do people anticipate flights opening up from Buffalo for March Break

I am like a hound watching, Allegiant from Niagara Falls, NY, Jetblue, Southwest, Airtran and so on! Our going on March Break totally depends on if I can get cheapish flight prices to go! In the past 3 years we have booked around the end of August for flights in March! They seemed to have all of the release dates earlier this year. Anybody have any speculation when they may open up for March? Looking for around the 5th, 6th timeframe coming back anytime after the 16th. Finger's crossed.. I have a tight budget this year, and my family is so depending on me, I hope I find some good prices, they are far harded to come by then they were 5 years ago when we started going!

glad you asked this as I was wondering the same thing , someone told me in the fall but I dont think thats right Im thinking august too since jet blue is already into feb. Am hoping for a seat sale with westjet out of hamilton got a decent fare going down but coming back is another story, keep on checking for flights that are not so costly and if we have to drive to Buffalo then so be it but hamilton would be sooo much better! We are cruising on the fantasy and have never travelled during march break hope we didnt pick the wrong time to go as opposed to summer months!

Not that this helps right now, but southwest is predicting to release their next travel dates July 9th (may change). This will have flights through Feb. 13th. Once they publish these dates they will have a statement on their webpage for when the next publish dates will be and what dates will be published at that time. If you are on the southwest webpage, go to travel tools at the bottom, that is where you will find what the next predicted publish date of their travel schedule.

I have the DCL portion of my WDW/DCL vacation booked for May 2013 and, believe it or not, I booked my air tickets already!

We usually fly out of BUF on Jet Blue but I checked Air Canada out of YYZ out of curiosity and found a great deal!

When I factor in gas, parking, travel time to BUF the totals work out almost even....

...you never know when a great deal can come up!

I would guess JetBlue will open for March Break sometime in early July (maybe around the 5th of July) and Southwest/AirTran will open for March Break in early September (around Sept 5th) like last year. But who knows for sure at this point.

I am thinking early July for Jetblue as well! I have friends that are coming with us, and they will be in Italy (their parents paid for them to go, how nice) the first 2 weeks of July. So they are leaving me their credit card and all of their information so I can book for them as well! Fingers crossed prices are good!

We are also from Hamilton, and booked on the Fantasy for March Break
First cruise for us.
We usually always fly Buffalo--did Detroit once also.
I tend not to even check WestJet.
What did you get for a departing flight--date/time?
