We are wanting to book a holiday tour for our trip Dec. 23-26 but it says dates unavailable. Does anyone know when the tickets go on sale?

The other things you need to know are 1) the times should appear online at least a few days before you can book so you'll know your options and 2) you have to call to book so you should plan calling the morning of your 30 days as I suspect they will sell out fast! You can call about tours anytime and get more info even if you can't book yet too.

If you click on the little calendar icon on the Holiday Time at Disneyland tour page you can see the dates that are scheduled so far. It is currently showing out through 12/15 even though you can't book that far out yet. As others have mentioned you need to call to schedule the tour. I'm anxiously awaiting my time to call!

When I called to inquire about this a couple weeks ago, the CM told me to call 7am PST 30 days before the tour you want to book. I call tomorrow setting my alarm clock for 3:30 am. We are so excited leave 30 days from today. :yay:

I'll be calling tomorrow as well, hoping to book the 2 pm tour for December 4!

One thing to note is that this tour did not go "online" till 8 am PST, not 7 am. I ended up being on hold for about 10 minutes but was able to get tickets for the 2 of us at 8:09am PST for the 2 pm tour!

Thanks for sharing this. I'll be calling in a few days for the 1:30 pm tour on 12/7. I wonder if it will be getting dark near the end of the 4:30 parade?

We did too. I called at 7am like the Cm told me to do but had to call back. My hold time was about 20 min. We will see you there should be great.

Does anyone know whether they typically offer this tour AFTER Christmas? I am looking at the weekend of December 26/27....

I need help deciding which day to do the tour. I'm trying to decide between going on our 2nd day in the park, Monday 12/7, in which DL has hours of 9 AM to 11 PM and DCA has hours of 9 AM to 8 PM. Or, our 4th and last day, Wednesday, 12/9, when the hours are DL 8 AM to midnight and DCA 8 AM to 9 PM. Please help me decide which day would be best! I was thinking Monday, but wonder if Wed will turn out to be the busiest day since it has longer hours. I need to decide soon, it's coming up on time to make the reservation. Thanks!

I think personally for me I would do the last day just because that would allow me to make sure that I got things done that I may have missed before.

Also with the longer hours it could be more to your advantage to get more done even with the tour not feel as rushed. But either day sounds good will be in the parks from the 5th to the 12th so I hope you have fun on the tour it's something I want to do however I can't guarantee that it will fit with our plan so and there's no cancellation so I can't really book it this year.

Well, I tried to book the tour during the week I am there (I arrive on Nov 16th) and thought a weekday would be better but there was nothing available. Thankfully, we did look for times on Saturday November 21 or Sunday, the 22nd and I decided to go on the 22nd. Apparently they have more times available on the weekend. I am happy going near the end of my trip.

Just got booked for December 12th! Sat on hold for perhaps 10 minutes before someone picked up but we got it! I was all stressed out because that was the only day we could go and weren't blocked!!!

What does the tour consist of? Are there any rides you get to go on, or is it just the preferred seating at the parade?

Yay! Booked for Dec 8th. We sort of wanted the 9th, as we already had a dining reservation on the 8th for Carthay and I couldn't get one on the 9th because they were booked until after 7. But...I am a worrier and I was afraid to make the HT reservation for our last day and find it sold out and then be unable to get anything the two days prior since those reservations opened up first.

I went through Vacation Planning and had them do it for me. I've actually never NOT gotten anything when I've gone through them, as they start right at the minute and have the best shot, I'd say. They were also able to get me a reservation at Carthay for dinner on the 9th even though on the website it did not show anything available.

If you go to the Christmas superthread, you'll find out all kinds of info about the tour. It can be hard to get through all of the posts and pictures, though. The tour changes from year to year but most likely will include priority seating on HMH, IASWH, and Jingle Cruise. You get samples of fudge (or marshmallows or whatever the treat is this year), learn about the decorations and tidbits of Christmas history, and most of the time (all of the tours I've been on, at least) the guide has you sing carols and learn how to greet other tours with a Merry Christmas in another language. At the end of the tour, you go to a spot where they give you a big keepsake travel mug full of cocoa, a Mickey gingerbread cookie, and then you walk over to your seating for the parade.

I booked mine for 12/12 this morning. You better be on the phone with them at 15 minutes before bookings open up or you aren't getting a spot.
