When do discounts for the fall come out?

I am looking at this site that shows all the details on discounts for the past few years
http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/

but I don't remember the last few times I've gone in the fall that the discounts come out so late? They come out after the 180 days?

We are looking to book the 3rd week in september but was going to wait until I saw a promo but it looks like I won't be able to book ADRS 180 out if I wait until the summer for a promo.

Does this seem right? I'm assuming there will be a huge chance that there will be discounts in the 3rd week of Sept considering its one of the slowest times of the year??

We are also looking to do a split stay with renting dvc points at AKL then other half at poly but now I'm getting scared since I won't ever pay rack rate at poly.

since discounts seem to come about 3-4 months before our trips (ours is planned for 3rd week of September as well) we will book our restaurant reservations 180 days out and then wait for the free dining to be offered.
I am telling myself that this will be a calculated risk since free dining has been historically offered during that time.

true. I want to just book my vacation but we are renting points for a dvc and need to book soon but can't change the dates around so will have to work around that.

I wouldn't wait too long to book that DVC stay. Fall is a notoriously busy time for DVC because of the low number of points needed for a stay, the milder weather, thinner crowds, F&W festival and MNSSHP. If you're even thinking about an AKV value studio, you're already out of luck.

You might want to check the expedia .co.uk thread. There should be some availability at the Poly for the 3rd week of Sept. You would have to deal with currency conversion, and pay for your stay at the time of booking, but the discount is pretty good.

I am not certain but I don't believe you have to have a room booked in order to make an ADR. That would mean anyone staying offsite couldn't book an ADR? Just wondering...

People staying onsite can book their ADRs at 180 days +10, while offsite guests can only book ADRs at 180 days or fewer. When it comes to in-demand reservations, those extra 10 days can give an onsite customer quite an advantage.

wow....I had not idea I can book 190 days out when staying onsite!!! Maybe I would've gotten a ressie for BOG if I knew that!

We aren't looking to stay poly dvc but we want to do VAKL savannah view a few nights and then end our vacation at poly for 4 nights.
We are very scheduled as far as ADR's and park days depending on crowd levels, etc so we are constantly changing our vacation dates/adrs up until the last minute so this year is going to be tough since we can't with dvc rental.

It's not 190 days out. It's 180 + 10. There's a difference. Let's say that your stay begins on 9/15/15. You can book ADRs for dates 9/15-9/25/15 beginning on 3/19/15, which is 180 days prior to 9/15/15. You would not be permitted to begin booking ADRs prior to that date. A person who is staying offsite can only book ADRs for 9/15/15 on 3/19/15. If they want a reservation for 9/16/15, they would have to wait until the next day while the onsite guests wouldn't have to wait.

A savannah view at AKV should be possible at this point in time, but almost all DVC resorts book up for Sept/Oct dates because of the reasons that I stated previously. Chances would not be good for getting a DVC Poly rental this year anyway. Sales to current DVC members won't begin until 1/12/15 and only those members with the Poly as their home resort would be able to book rooms, even at the 7-month window. I suggested looking at the expedia .co.uk website because they have regular Poly rooms at a rate that is already less than what you would pay if you were to book the rack rate on a US website.

marionette- ok thanks for the help. Im going to look at the uk site soon. Not looking to rent poly dvc only poly standard room and akl dvc.

Yes, just misread the 180 plus 10. I did know that now that I re read it.
