when do babies eyes change color?

My baby boy is 5 months and still has blue eyes. I can't for the life of me remember when my other kids eyes turned brown, I think it must have been early though, because I don't remember even thinking they would have blue eyes. So when did your baby's eyes change? (BTW, I have blue eyes, DH has brown)

Sometimes, they don't change. We kept waiting for DS' to change from blue, but they're still blue today. Must have been those recessive genes, because neither DW or I have blue eyes.

My daughter was about a year when her blue eyes turned green. My mom insisted they were changing all along, and I disagreed.

As usual, mother was right.

I'd like to know too. My first son's started to change probably around 6 months (I really don't remember exactly). I say started because now he's 3-1/2 and they are blue with brown specks. My younger son is almost 6 months (next week) and his eyes are bright blue. I'm really hoping that his stay completely blue. I have blue eyes and DH has brown. DH's mom says his eyes were blue until he was around 4 or 5 years. But, she could very well be making that up.

3 of my boys were born with eyes so dark they were almost black! They still have dark brown eyes. One of my boys were born with the bluest eyes you've ever seen! They stayed blue for some time and now they switch from green to hazel and still sometimes bluish. pretty interesting they are! LOL

I'm pretty sure my pediatrician told me that whatever color they are at 1 year, is the permanent color.

Neither of my kids eye color changed after they were born. DD5 has blue eyes like DH & DS has brown eyes like me!

My dd's eyes changed from blue to brown within hours of her birth. My niece's eyes changed color when she was about 8 months old from blue to hazel.

Mine stayed dark blue from birth until right before my 1st bday. My mom said she didn't think mine would ever change. My ds had the oddest eye color for the first year. They were blue, then they were slate gray, then they were hazel, then they were green, then they finally turned brown around his 11 month mark. His are just like mine-very brown. My dd has sky blue eyes. Hers never changed color. My SO, our ds and I all have brown eyes.: But, both of our dads both blue eyes (well, my dad's change from blue to green often), so she got our recessive genes.

According to my mom, I was born with bright blue eyes and they didn't change until I was two or three. Now I have deep green eyes that tend to change color depending on what shirt I wear. Wish I had those baby blues though!

Remy's eyes stayed blue and never changed, but Holly had bluish grey (like DH..mine are brown) and hers finally stopped changing and have settled on being green. Holly's started changing around 8mos and for a while I thought they would be brown, but I was wrong.
