When do airlines usually change/cancel flight times?

Just curious when to start watching for these changes  , we don't fly down to Disney until Nov., but, I'm really worried Delta is going to change our times - they seem notorious for this :sad2: .

Ah, Delta usually starts making changes to their flights as soon as I book with them. Just kidding. Well sort of anyway. Whe we book way in the future, the airlines can be counted on to make many changes. I booked a Dec flight with Delta about 4 months ago. It has changed three times now. Every time I have to call them and get my seats reassigned. A real pain.
So, it makes sense to check on your flights every few weeks or so. Then, when you get closer, the 3 mo mark, I like to check weekly. Then, when I get to a month before traveling, I check every day, right up to travel day.

I started flying with JB because they never changed their schedules. That's why we have to wait so long to book with them. They figure out their schedules and then we can book 'em. But, I'm finding that even JB is changing their times now...even cancelling flights at the last minute. Ugggh.

Oh man...well I guess I better be checking since our flight is the first week of November, our AAA travel agent, told me when I paid for the trip, that Delta would probably change our flights, then I started reading the posts here and now I am a little worried. I like our flight times and would hate for them to change. One good thing is were flying direct flights on a small 50 seater - so maybe that will help.

I know that Usairways and Airtran make their changes on Sundays. I start checking once I get about 3 months prior to my trip.

We booked with JB and our flight was changed like a month after we booked it. It hasn't changed since then, but I need to start checking daily now that we are 33 days out. The seats did not seem to change, but the time of the flights did.

I have found with USAirways that they tend to change/cancel some of their flights at the beginning of the month, usually for equipment changes. But anything goes with them. On one occasion, we found out that USAirways had changed our outbound flight from a non-stop to a connecting flight through Charlotte through the Magical Express agent! And we had been checking regularly! USAirways had never contacted us directly. So it pays to check on a regular basis to avoid another travel stressor.
