I just ordered my invitations yesterday, and they won't be here until the first of October. I wanted to send out my invitations ~the second week in November for my February wedding. Would that be too early?

When did you send yours out/how far in advance did you set your RSVP date? I was thinking an RSVP date around Christmas, but I can see so many of the responses getting lost in the mail.

We're getting married 3 days after you, and we have all of our invitations printed, we just need to get around to putting them together. We'll send them out as soon as we get around to that. :goodvibes

Most of our guests are booked in Disney and with flights, so it really is just a formality anyway. I think when you have a smaller wedding it doesn't matter when you send them out!

Oh, and the RSVPs I'm not sure about! I've asked everyone for their confirmation numbers so I guess if we don't have those, I'll just call and be blunt about asking. There's one uncle we invited because he was "hurt" that he wasn't invited. So we said he could come and haven't heard hide nor hair of him making arrangements. Arrgggh. Honestly, it would be kind of great if he didn't come, since without him our guest count would be back to 18 and we wouldn't be paying the extra $500.00.

That was long-winded lol, sorry!

lol, it's ok, most of my guests have not told me anything about booking unless they're in my immediate family or the wedding party! I guess that's what I get for having a bigger wedding, I would love to able to call people and confront them when the time comes.

We're sending them out 3 months in advance (our date is 12/7). We're asking for them back on 10/7 so it gives us a month before we have to give final numbers.

Our wedding is in July...we're sending out our invitations in March and asking for the RSVP by May so we can also have a month before we have to give our final numbers. So far we've only sent out our save the dates and only 1 family has replied saying that they are going....I hope I don't have to chase people for replies!! :S

I sent my invites in march for my June wedding. We asked for the RSVPs back by April 20. It gave us a month before the final numbers ane payments were due.

HA!! our day is 1-25-11. sent them out about 3 weeks ago with a thanksgiving rsvp date. have about half of the actual rsvp cards back! we did do STDs (in march), and i think i am going to do an email newsletter to keep sending out those room block links!! :)

yes, we are really super early. but if i were going on a random trip in january, i would have to be planning it this far out to get off of work etc.. etc...

:)

I'm sending out my invites now for our March wedding, and I've made the RSVP November 15th.

It's so far out because so many people are stuffing me around with whether they're coming or not. Come on! It's 6 months away! Surely by now you know whether you're going to be able to fly 15,000km or not!

I need to know whether I'm feeding you lobster or chicken!!

Most of my family lives really close to Disney and are already definitely coming so we are sending the invites out in a few weeks for our wedding that is December 3rd. We put our RSVP date for a month away from the wedding. I'm hoping that is enough time.

I also plan on doing several newsletters because I became inspired by Dolly's thread. I was intimidated by the process before I read that thread!
