When did you learn how to cook?

I was in preschool when I was first allowed in the kitchen. My Grandma would watch me on the days I did not have school (which was Tuesdays and Thursdays) while my Mom worked. I remember being allowed to dump things into the pots and stir. As I got older she started teaching me family recipes and now i do most of the cooking at home myself.

I grew up around lots of cooking. By 12 I was making the family meal most nights before my mother got home from work. My grandmother was an amazing cook and baker and I learned lots from her too. I enjoy cooking very much but I really love baking most.

I honestly don't remember not cooking. Really!!! I know by 10 I was baking from scratch on a regular basis. I like to cook. I love to bake. In fact I'm starting a personal chef business.
