When did they start allowing flash photography on rides?

OMG - this is so funny! My daughter is 18 and her boyfriend just turned 21. Beach Club is our favorite resort. We rent DVC points and stay in a two bedroom villa since I also have a son 21 and another son 15. Coming in on the 16th and leaving on the 25th. We come to WDW every other year. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge villas on our last trip. "It's a Small World After All" (which is gonna be closed while we're all there - bummer!) Have a great trip!

I know it stinks that a classic ride will be closed and I heard Toy Story Mania too will be down for a couple weeks starting mid AUG? That really stinks....

If people are unaware of the rules, how can you blame them for doing something??

I have heard so many people on rides get beligerent at others regarding the no flash photography thing, that the people taking the pics first become defensive, and then defiant.

So, IMHO, if the flash photo thing bothers you, please talk nicely to the person doing it. I really hope the water gun thing on here was a joke, because squirting someone in the face with a water gun is FAR MORE rude than a few flash picures, for real.

Who said anything about squirting in the face? I think a big wet spot in somebody's groin area would be far more hilarious -- and effective.

Is a few flashes in my eyes going to ruin my trip? No way! I'm on vacation, nothing can bother me that much!
