When did Dec 2008 discount come out?

Just curious for those that got a deal for Dec 2008 - when did you get a discount, what were your dates in Dec & where did you stay? TIA!

I am curious as well, as I hope to get a discount for 12/09.
If you go to mousesavers and search historical discounts it says general public discounts (room only and package)for 12/14-20/08 started 10/19/08. Don't know re: pin offers, tho'.
People getting the '09 - 40% off pin code via the mail elsewhere in the forum say it includes 12/1-5/09 & 12/13-24/09.

We got our 40% off pin tin the mail in Jan. of 08 and stayed at POFQ Dec 6-13th under the code. I noticed the new offer blocked that week out which is fine with me. I think the secret is out about going nov-dec with it being quiet. It was very busy while we were there and we did see LARGE groups of pop warner cheerleaders in the parks using fastpass about 30-40 cheerleaders at a time.

We used the Disney Visa promotion for Dec. '08 at Wilderness Lodge. We had a discounted passholder + dine package booked already, in a woods view bunk bed room. With the Disney Visa promo, we got a courtyard view bunk bed room, with the dining plan, and one day base tickets (2 adults, 2 children), for about $60 less than our passholder + dine package!

I think it came out in early October, and since I already had what I thought was a great passholder discount, I didn't call until it had been out for a week. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a better deal than the AP discount. Let's hope Dec. 2009 has similar good deals!
