When Did AKV actually open?

When did AKV actually open? One minute I heard they were building - then I remember getting info through the post, but didn't have time to read it properly. And the next thing I'm seeing resales for sale already.

When did it open? Is it nice compared to the other resorts? Has anyone stayed there yet?

They have some units open in Jambo House which were part of AKL and simply renovated. Not sure when those opened exactly, but they are still building Kidani which will be the complete DVC section of the resort.

The first AKV villas opened July 1, 2007. The remodelling continues at Jambo House, but those villas should be completed soon.

Kidani Village is scheduled to open in 2009 - with no "official" specific date yet announced.

There have been a number of trip reports made by those who havce already stayed at AKV on the Mousecellaneous Board - I'll move this thread over there.

stayed there in a standard view studio - loved it. Despite not having a great view - roof/swimming pool.

my room was close to the stair case - so getting to the buses was not hard - just down the steps and through the lobby. Also insured that I got to see that lobby again and again.

It was also close to the laundry.

as I say it was over the lobby - just a few doors down. So there were several nights when I just stood up there and enjoyed. away from all the activities but still able to enjoy it.
