On our last trip, we went to CP for breakfast, and I really liked it. I would like to try it for lunch, but I keep thinking about the yummy breakfast food. I thought about getting the last breakfast seating so that when it switched over to lunch, I could try that food.

A couple of questions though - Allears says breakfast is to 10:30 and lunch starts at 11:30 - So, for my plan to work, would I have to be there over an hour? I don't think that would work out. And if you are there during the switchover, are they okay with you eating breakfast and lunch?

Thanks for the info!

Hi there, I don't know the answer for definate, but it seems really unlikely to me that they would allow you to eat from the breakfast and lunch menu. The lunch is more expensive for a start.

We used to do the breakfast, but last trip did lunch instead. We loved the lunch food, and I felt that it was better value, as I wanted to eat more at lunch time than I do for breakfast.

Be brave and book the lunch...

lol... Thanks for the advice. I just thought I would ask b/c I thought I heard of people doing this before. It's a good problem to have when both menus look good! :)

on a similar note we are thinking of doing the play'n'dine at mgm for breakfast but according to DEB's they end at 11:20 and lunch starts at 11:40..so my question is how late can I make breakfast ressies and will we be allowed to stay during crossover?

I've heard that if you get the earliest lunch seating you will still be able to select from a small amount of breakfast items along with lunch. I've seen a few Dining reviews where people have said there was still some breakfast items.

When I have had the latest BF seating, they keep the lunch food covered so I don't think you can really get lunch food for BF.

We have done the latest CP breakfast seating three times (the most recent this past April, Easter week, thus just about as busy as you can get). Every time we have been able to eat both breakfast AND lunch food. They keep one side of the buffet open with breakfast foods as they add the lunch foods to the other side.

We have one dd with food allergies. The chef made sure to show us what she could eat on both sides of the buffet :)

Amazing! I would never have thought you could do this... I take back what I said... I would still be dubious about counting on it though!

As with so many things at Disney, your experience may vary. ;) We were there one month before this - last March at the latest breakfast seating. My boys were explicitly told that the lunch buffet was not for them and to stay away from it. We did like this seating time because the characters came around numerous times as the restaurant emptied out. They seemed to seat the late breakfast times on one side of the restaurant, and when lunch started, they started seating at the other side. They did have one side of the buffet for breakfast and one for lunch, but as I said, they wouldn't let us sample lunch.

In May we went to H&V with a breakfast seating at 11:30. When the lunch items were put out, we ate off of both sides of the buffet.
