When can you book TGiving for cash?

I own at BWV and would like to reserve an Inn room at Vero for Thanksgiving Weekend 2005. MS said I cannot make the cash reservation because no cash rooms are available (not because of 11 month window). They said they do not know when cash nights might be available and just try back from time to time.

Does anyone have experience booking Thanksgiving with cash and how far in advance were you able to do so?

Sine the first priority at all sold out DVC resorts is to allow reservations made using points, MS doesn't normally release rooms for cash reseravations until they are satisfied that they won't be needed for point reservations. At times there is little cash availability at any of the resorts.

If rooms will become available it is usually within 7 months. I'd call back periodically before that time, just in case they do start releasing rooms. I'd expect Thanksgiving to be a busy time and there may be very little available especially for cash, but it can't hurt to ask.

Within 2 months, any unreserved rooms are released for cash reservations to the public at all DVC resorts.
