Not been on in a while as things have been a bit manic at home! Anyway, just having a bit of a look around and catch up!

So, when can you book for December? Was wanting to go around 7th Dec for 5 days (midweek break). I keep looking at the site but it's not up to there yet and unfortunately as a result the 40% off discount obviously looks like it won't count for then!

Does anyone know if they tend to do the one night free offer in December?

And finally, will it be v busy midweek in early December?

Thanks in advance for any help :) :thumbsup2

Hello,

We have been a couple of times end November/beg/mid Dec. I actually prefer the xmas season to the summer season. At the moment the Disney brochure goes up to the 8th November 2009 - for example it says 4 nite for 3 nite or 5 nite for 4 nite is available for 6-8 November. I know they do the offers in December as we usually use them, normally I think up to the 18th December ish.

The 40% offer was only valid until September so fingers crossed they bring another offer out after that ... may even be DLH here we come if so!!!

Mid week is great in December, my DH did Indiana Jones x 4 without queueing one day.

I think they start selling December around June/July ish.

Thanks for that. Something tells me I'm never going to replicate our first trip last year for quietness and sheer number of walk ons we had (and character interaction!). We stayed in the DLH and loved it and hope to stay there again in December. We have two little girls and tbh with the weather in Dec, we think it's worth it to be nearby should we need to nip back to the hotel! :goodvibes

Unfortunately due to one thing and another we've not managed to get back to DLRP earlier this year (and I don't fancy the school summer holidays!!) so Dec will be great for us as we are going to see Santa ;) We will have to take our DD1 out of school which I don't really like doing but it's the only way we can do it with DH's work as well - can't take time off just before Christmas due to work commitment so have to do early Dec!

I've had a look back through the TRs to see how busy it was/what the weather was like and the former doesn't seem too bad - the latter looks awful - very wet and cold :sad2:

Last year December prices went on sale the last week of May. So not long to go :)

Yes I do suggest you wrap up warm and do "layering". We were lucky the last time it was quiet and the weather was cold but no rain at all. The new york is also a nice hotel, just past the disney village. I think your children will love going during the xmas season.

Thanks for that Karen & Emma! Not long at all now then. I'm getting cold feet about taking DD1 out of school now though as it's her first school year (Reception!!) But I don't think I could stand the crowds during the Christmas holidays or at a weekend in December (and November just seems too far out for a little one to understand it's not quite Christmas yet!) and DH is v limited with when he can take holiday in Dec.

I think if we weren't to stay at DLH we may go for SL or even the Marriott as that looks great with children.

I'm not sure how much DD2 will understand as she'll only just be 19 months but it's funny as she was 5 months when we went last year and Mickey & Minnie are just her favourite characters! She's really not bothered about TV characters like In the Night Garden etc but just LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She claps and squeals when she sees them - she's 10 mth now :lovestruc

I'm worried about when DD starts reception next year, found out today that she will be granted 10 days leave if she has 96% attendence, if not and i take her when the school say no they will fine me £100.

I really want to go at Christmas again but I think I might wait till next year for that....

Far more than you will expect. We took Kacee for the first time when he was 18 months old and he loved every single second, they are far more 'aware' of Disney at that age. He even remembered DLRP when we went back in Dcember despite only being 20 months old.

i am so tempted to bring ash for a couple of days in december. its her birthday on the 15th. she loves christmas , birthdays and disneyland so why not do them all together lol

ash was 22 months when she first went and she remembered everything it was so funny. she had a great time so im sure your little one will too

I have told dh we are going in December whether he comes or not. I really want to take dd to see Santa along with all the regulars :goodvibes

dd was one on her first visit and has had two more trips since then and she just loves it, each day she holds my hand and looks up at me and asks if we can go see Mickey today, it's just so cute :)

its being run by the disneybrit podcast. Its going to be great. They have a lot planned including dinner at walts with an imagineer etc etc.

So do you think it will be really busy on those dates though?

Must admit I have no idea what the disneybrit podcast is either :rotfl:
