When can we book the Poly?

Does anyone know when we will be able to book a DVC room online? I have a trip in June I'd like to change to the Poly if I can. My home resort is SSR. Thanks!!

It will be announced on Monday, January 12th when reservations can be made. I expect that PVB owners will have a priority period for a while before owners of other DVC resorts can book a room. In the past it has been anywhere from 3 months to 6 months. However the Poly is opening sooner than other resorts have done, so I expect PVB owners will have a shortened priority period maybe as little as a month

We currently have VGF booked for our trip in May but would love to try a Poly studio for a night or two if available. Would we have a penalty canceling a night or two at VGF for Poly just a month out or only if we canceled VGF without adding Poly? Thanks!

If you cancel more than 31 days out (or is it 30?) there is no penalty. If you cancel within, your points become holding points, and those can only be used up to sixty days in advance, and expire at the end of your UY.

I'd confirm with member services, but you should be able to cancel, and then use the (holding points); as long as you are within the non-owners booking window.
