When Can I Purchase Disneyland Passes Vaild Past Jan. 4th?

Hi!
After 20+ Disney World trips we're finally planning a June 2010 Disneyland trip. Anyway, I thought I would pay for some things when I have extra money so we won't have to pay for everything all at once. I have been checking on Disneyland passes and everything I've found expires/must be used by January 4th. Can some of you Disneyland veterans please help me out because I have figured out very quickly that this isn't like purchasing Disney World passes is it!!!
Help, I really need Disneyland guidance!! When are passes released for later dates or am I doing something wrong? Thank you so much for your help!!

It's my planning buddy, hey thanks for replying. This Disneyland stuff is so very odd to me. Maybe I will eventually catch on!!!

There is usually an increase in ticket prices annually, so yes, you can see the new 2010 prices announced sometime during the Fall.
