When are your schools out for the summer??

Where I live in Vancouver, she gets out on the 28th of June (her birthday, what a treat) and head back September 6th. We are headed on a DCL cruise the 20th of September for 5 days then 5 days at DL. We miss a bit of school but thats the only time hubby can get some time off

In Sn Diego most "year round schools" got out last week, the rest seem to be getting out this week. In California we have 180 days of school. doesn't matter when you stop and start. you just need to get those 180 days in there.

When are your schools out?

We are heading to Disneyland next Wednesday, June 15th and I am wondering what the crowds will be like?

My kids got out the 19th. 3 weeks and I am so ready for them to go back already!

I'm in OC and we're out the 16th. Our inland friends got out last week. I already can see a difference in crowds.

The boys' last day was 5/19 (two days after we got back from DLR haha). They go to private school, but the public schools got out on 5/26 -- very early this year!

My kids' school ended May 26 and resumes July 25th. Lots and lots of different schedules out there We get a two-week fall break and that is when we plan our Disney trip.

Why is your summer break so short?


I'm from the LA County and I get out the 16th.

Flagstaff, AZ gets out June 9. The university has been off a couple weeks now.

My kiddo got out last week (and I'm so sad, he will be a senior next year!!!) but the Christian and catholic schools near us didnt get out til this week.

Why is your summer break so short?


I'm from the LA County and I get out the 16th.

Our school is considered "year round." We have a shorter summer break than many, but we also get more breaks throughout the year. For example, we have a 2 week spring break, 2 week fall break, and 3 week winter break. Our kids go to school 180 days just like most other schools in Arizona but it is just spread out more. As a parent, I like them not being off 3 months for summer and really like having the breaks spread out; it lets us plan a fall and spring vacation easier having extra weeks then. We will be at DL on fall break this year like last year!
