Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my first PTR!

We originally planned our first family trip for this October but some stuff has happened since then (you'll see) & I dont know if we are going to make it or not BUT my DH keeps saying "were going this year" & as much as I would L O V E to go this year, I dont see it happening.... but you never know where this PTR is gonna take us... I guess we are all going to find out together!!

Meet the Cast:

Me & my DH. Happily Married for 5 years, just purchased our first home & STRESSED OUT!
He is my soul mate! no seriously he is!!

Real name: Jessi.. I am a SAHM (for now) who is (like everyone else) OBSESSED with Disney . It all started with a Mouse for me too. I love Chocolate, Bargins, Disney, shopping, Dising and of course most of all my FAMILY! (sometimes ) I was 17 when I first went to this Magical Land. Never want to go anywhere else. My Dh keeps telling me there is a whole world out there to explore... I keep telling him I know, Ive seen them in EPCOT!!!

DH-Jay - First trip for him to WDW was for his surprise 30th birthday... He was not happy! If I had my old computer files I would have inserted a video of him finding out at the airport that he was going to Disney & look of disappointment on his face. PRICELESS! so please use your imaginations & picture the face above mean & upset! By the end of the trip, he was in LOVE too, not as much as me but he loved it and now we have kids, he cant wait to take them all there. & NEITHER COULD I!!!

Our 3 beautiful children:

JT- 4 years old. JT is autistic, He is non verbal & has sensory issues but understands alot. He loves Mickey, Nemo & Toy Story. He LOVES water so wherever we end up, a pool or sprinkler is going to be awesome for him! He is the first love of my life. His first WDW trip was when he was 15mo. I was pregnant, it was hot, we didnt stay on property.. so needless to say this wasnt the trip I wanted him to experirience there. It was also a spur of the moment trip w/ no planning. I cant wait for him to go back to the most magical place in the world. I am hoping for magic myself & wishing he gets so excited that atleast one word comes out of this mouth! I can use all the pixie dust in the world!

JP- 2 years old. The second love of my life! JP is a very very Dramatic child. He over dramatizes everything. Like right now, hes screaming that hes stuck in the couch pillows. HES NOT! He loves Jake & the neverland pirates, toy story, cars & most of all Animals of any kind. He's a hugger. He loves hugging everyone & everything. It freaks me out! I wont care so much when he does it to people I know but he hugs anyone walking down the street! Drives me INSANE!

JG- 15 months. Lets just say if she was my first, she would have been my LAST! I always wanted a girl but after her we arent EVER having another! EVER! Do you remember when your parents told you to be a good child because you would have one bad if you were bad! WELL GUESS WHAT... I got it! not because of me but because of my DH, J was a very bad child & now I have to deal with it!
She gets into everything, she tells me NO.. she doesnt listen, but no matter how bad she is I love to see her smile. She lights up a room. I would love for her be Princess like... but shes anything but! JP loves princesses more then she does!

and last but not least...

Luciano... 2 year old. I wanted to name him Mickey Moose but because he is from Italy my DH wanted an Italian name. I guess Im gonna have to get another pet and name him Mickey! He will join in on the car ride of the trip to my moms house. Thats about it!

WELCOME!!! TYSM! Lucci is a Cane Corso. Its an italian mastiff. So many people ask me if hes a pit, I guess the cropped ears makes them think that! I LOVE boxers! I love em so much! What are their names? How is it having two dogs now?!?

So as most of you know, Disney came out with Free Dining for October of this year! Sometime in April, I said if Disney comes out w/ free dining..WE ARE GOING!!

and sure enough, Disney comes out w/ free Dining BUT NOT for the dates we wanted to go!!!

Soooo we wait... & when they came out again we jumped on it. We were so undecided about which hotel to choose!

We narrowed it down to these two choices:

AND THE WINNER IS.......

POP!!!

Dh decides we are going to drive down to FL instead fo Flying because he likes the idea of road triping (and why shouldnt he when I do most of the driving!!!) Which I think is a pretty ok idea.. reason being: I can pack what I want w/o worring about baggage fees, less worrying about the kids annoying people around them, bringing my own strollers, etc... Since the kids have only driven a few hours away, I cant imagine what it would be like for 17 hours!!! But I am willing to try it!


Since the dates werent released for free dining till the beginning of August there isnt much time but I know I can get it done!Now I become SUPER excited! Start planning, making dining reservations & start shopping for matching clothes! REALLY!!!

This is all thats on my mind since we booked! Sad but very true... Then all of a sudden plans come to a screaching hault... WHY YOU ASK?!?!?!

Well as you read, our plans for going to WDW came to a hault... why you might ask...

RAIN!!! This is what happened to our neighborhood.

We went under and the way we were getting to WDW went under too!!!!

We lost our cars to this mess & as thankful as I am that we didnt lose more, its still caused a problem w/ our WDW plans!!! Its amazing what rain can do. One of our cars is in the shop & we are still waiting to hear whats going to happen. We are hoping to get it back in time but I am still a little worried about taking the chance on driving to FL in a car that was a submarine!!!

Like I said before my DH still thinks we will be able to go, so this is still all up in the air until we hear from the body shop!

Now I try to stay optimistic about things so I say, NO BIGGY!! I will just plan for next year (see ticker) just in case we dont get the car back in time or its not running right... so preperation has started for next October & my plans are getting BIGGER & BIGGER!!!

first off- great start to the report- i saw you post on the Oct thread that you were going, so had to come read! So where do you live that the storm was so bad, in the NE somewhere? So sorry the cars were so bad!!!! That's terrible!

Love your children- they are just beautiful!!! you have a lovely family! and at you telling DH he can visit the world, right from Epcot! i love it!

Our trip is Oct 14th, so we are just 2 weeks behind you!! I am going crazy waiting. no work is getting done at all at work. I am here instead.

So, we've taken my son twice now. Once at 2 and once at 3. This time he will be almost 4. He turns four October 30th. For us, we have to take a midday break. We usually do rope drop each day (or right at opening), so we are up early. We take a midday break for 2 hours for him to nap (and we like resting too!), then we hit another park until close. It works for us.

as far as making stuff special- i plan to have a little gift basket for him when we arrive.

i've also marked on all our ADRs and hotel ressie that it is his birthday. last year, he had a card signed by Mickey waiting for him and lots of birthday cupcakes at meals.

he loved the build your own light saber at DTD and the mr. potato head parts.

This year, the special things we are doing are Pirates League, dinner at CRT (he loves Cinderella), and the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. WE are also doing Blizzard Beach, he loves water parks. Also trying to build in pool time and time to stop and let him play in the fountains at DTD and Epcot etc.

Hi Michelle, Thanks for stopping by! I havent been updating because I honestly thought we were going to be going next year! BUT I am super excited to be going this year instead! Im so thrilled I havent left my computer.. Trying to figure things out & plan! I love planning so much that I feel rushed & nervous now! LOL!

I love your advise on the kiddos! The midday break sounds like a must & so does DTD! I love the idea of the Light saber & Mr. Potato head. My 2 year old loves him! LOL!

I just found besty memories & the basket in the room sounds like a wonderful idea. I hope I have enough time to get one done!

Its too bad we werent going at the same time, you sound awesome & so much fun!

Have you ever hired one of those baby sitting companies for your son? I was looking into Kids night out?!?!? Just so my dh & i can experience the F&WF together!
